I bought a presumably "Tiffany" cross for my wife in a Diamond District about a year and a half ago.
I know that a non-Tiffany replicas are in abundance in a diamond district and are very easy to create and o/c are much cheaper.
So the question that I have is what is the best way for me to find out weather it's indeed Tiffany's or a replica.
Would I just bring it to Tiffany and ask them?
Are there any specific/signature signs to look for?
Would a jeweler be able to see a difference?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Vitaliy

There are some clues to tell the difference and some jewelers and appraisers are pretty good at it but mostly you will need to go to Tiffany's to have it authenticated. They have access to records that the rest of of us don't. This is an expensive service by the way.
