Is my diamond a real or fake?

My fiance proposed 1 yr ago. Last week while at a club with him, we were under black lights and the diamond looked irridescent/almost with a pink like glow. Another girl had her diamond ring on and the black light didn't effect the look of her ring? My fiance got a little uncomfortable when we brought this to his attention. Is my diamond engagement ring, actually not a diamond at all?
