When is the best/worst time to buy a diamond within the year?
Do diamonds go through seasonal cycles?

Hey!
Most major diamonds do not vary with the season.
I suppose department store sales are seasonal, but again- probably not on diamonds above $2000 or so.

DeBeers gives us regular price increases on the rough throughout the year. Nothing "seasonal" about them. These increases are passed along to the consumer.
Retail prices are stable throughout the year with peak buying times at Valentine's Day, May-June, and November-January. Supply of your desired specs may be hard to come by during these times.
