I have a chance to buy a pair of 2 ct. total weight diamond stud earrings for $7,000.00. They are in a "martini" platinum set and the diamonds are JVS2 quality. Does this sound like a good deal? Thanks for any and all information.

BigHooch99,
A well cut, GIA graded J-VS2 diamond that weighs one carat would sell online anywhere from $3,500 - $4,500 depending on the exact diamond and quality of cut. The platinum martini settings are worth at least a few hundred bucks themselves.
So, if these earrings have GIA reports and are well cut then I think you're getting a smoking deal! If, however, the stones are poorly proportioned or the lab reports are not from GIA then the deal might be questionable.
