what are hearts & arrows in regard to faceting? I've read this description re: stones & don't know if it's a good or bad thing...I know "bowtie" refers to faceting on lesser quality stones so that a "bowtie" shape appears in the faceting.

Diamonds cut with precisely aligned and optimally proportioned facets produce a pattern called Hearts & Arrows (H&A), a visual phenomenon that appears in the finest Ideal Cut diamonds when viewed through a H&A viewer.
Not all AGS Triple Ideal Diamonds display Hearts & Arrows. The AGS parameters still allow for a great deal of variance in the look of the diamond.
Not all Hearts & Arrows Diamonds are AGS Triple Ideal Diamonds. It is possible, to see a Hearts & Arrows pattern in a stone if the polish or proportions are not ideal.
The bowtie effect is common in fancy shapes (non-round). It is caused by the uneven distribution of light return. There are ways to minimize the effect. In general, the smaller the bowtie, the better the cut.
