I recently found a diamond and I was wondering if anyone could advise me about it. It is a round GIA certified diamond, 1.32 carats, G color, VS2 clarity. Measurements are 7.05-7.09x4.34mm. Depth is 61.4% and table is 58%. No culet or florescence. Medium girdle. On the GIA certificate under other comments, it says that there is a symbol on the girdle. Does this mean that it is laser inscribed? The GIA cert is from October 2004 and the jeweler is asking $8500. Any feedback would be great. Thanks so much. :(

It sounds like a fair price for a very nice diamond (at least on paper)!

A symbol on the girdle means it's laser inscribed. DON'T confuse this with "laser drilled" which is a whole different thing. Laser inscribed=GOOD. Laser drilled=BAD.
