I'm looking for an 1ct Asscher cut diamond and either a trellis or Lucida setting for about 5-6k. Any suggestions as to where to buy them and get a good price? I found some diamonds I like at dirtcheapdiamonds.com. I don't like their name, but the diamonds are GIA certified. I'm not sure why, but most of the time I find the setting I want, the white gold costs as much as the platinum. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I'm looking for? Thank you!

The platinum settings that you are speaking of are usually more than white gold. More like $1000 range for platinum versus $600 range for white gold.
