Hello all,

I was hoping someone could recommend a great, unique setting for an oval diamond. I wanted something different and since I have long, relatively thin fingers I thought that an oval would fit the bill.

I've steered away from solitaire settings since I think they look "top heavy" and I felt like I needed some balance on the sides. I saw rings with pear and/or trilliant stones on the side and thought they looked great! Does anyone have recommendations of settings that incorporate these kinds of side stones? Or anything else they think might work well with an oval? I appreciate your input.

Thanks!

We did one of these recently. I just love the look of the half moons with the oval.

The stone is beautiful Jan!

But "Opal" I really think an oval stone will just make your fingers look even longer. If you want something flattering for long fingers, a square cut or princess cut would be a better choice. You can still "widen" it with side stones.

That's my "designers" 2 cents worth.... :)
