I recently found a 1.41 E color VS2 diamond. It is GIA certified. The polish and sym are good. It has no florescence and a small culet. The depth is 57.3% and the table is 61%. The jewler is asking $9000. From my searches in the past, this seems too good to be true. Any advice?
Thank you

I found comparable stones on Blue Nile for about that price, maybe just a little bit less.

If this is a round diamond, you will not be getting the best cut grade. I've found that shallow stones with depths usually under 60% lose alot of brilliance and fire, so if the price is cheap that is probably why.

Thanks Jan. That was what I was thinking too. I guess I just wanted to confirm it with someone else. Oh well...back to looking again

I agree that the diamond you were looking at is probably a little shallow so not as refractive. On www.abazias.com there is this stone. If you like this one ask for Erin, she is very helpful. I hope this helps.

I also wouldn't recommend an EGL lab report. Stick with GIA or AGS.
