Why doesn't my picture show up next to my name when I post?

The thing that shows up next to your posts is called an "AVATAR". Look for it under "My Controls". The "personal photo" only shows up when someone looks at your profile. Give that a try...

I haven't been able to upload mind but I figured it had something to do with the fact that my image won't appear on film.

Because of this request and the recent surge in use of avatars, I have increased the permitted size from 64x64 pixels to 100x100.
If you are a current user of avatars and would like the size of your picture/avatar increased, simply re-upload your avatar or send me a PM and I will do it manually.
