I don't know much about diamonds and was wondering if this was a good deal.
1.07ct., D, VVS2, Princess cut, GIA cert, ex. polish, for $6750. I don't remember the cut %'s, what should they ideally be for a princess cut? It has a little flourecence, is this very important? Is there anything else I should look for with a princess cut? Any help is appreciated.

This is within the range for a fairly well-cut stone. A copy of the cert or the full specs on the stone would be most helpful, though to get a real estimate you do need to take the stone to an appraiser for physical inspection.
The % numbers for all fancy cuts are listed on this site. Click on the "Tutorials" tab and look there.

It really depends on the cut grade of the stone. You don't have enough information to tell us how it is cut. Have you seen the stone in person? Was it very bright and sparkly?

I found out some more info on the princess cut diamond, here is the GIA report.
Measurements-5.82x5.80x3.83
Weight-1.07 carat
Depth-66%
Table-76%
Girdle-slightly thick to thick
Culet-none
Polish-excellent
Symmetry-good
Clarity-VVS2
Color-D
Fluorescence-medium blue
Looking at the stone it seems very sparkly and looks nice to me (though I haven't really looked at a lot of different diamonds). Does this seem like the price is reasonable? It is from a well respected jeweler so I have no reason to doubt them, but again I am fairly new to all this. I am in the St. Louis area if anyone can recommend any good jewelers or tell me who to stay away from. Thanks again for all your help.

Our own research into light optics and light performance of Princess Cuts has shown that "numbers" are not reliable indicators of this shape's "sparklies".
Since you admit you have seen very few Princess Cuts, I'd recommend that you look at some more stones that have proportions that differ from this particular diamond that you're asking us about. See if you can tell a difference. Keep in mind that Very Good/ Excellent on Polish in this shape do not dramatically improve the look of the stone compared to a Good/Good designation.

Of the diamonds that I have looked at, this is the one that I keep coming back to. I was just wondering given these specs does this price ($6750) seem close to where it should be. I am continuing to shop around but this is the one that I am comparing everything else to. I know you can't choose a diamond based solely on the numbers, but is there any of the specs that jump out at anyone saying maybe I should stay away from this particular one? Are there any specs that should carry more weight when looking at a princess cut? Thanks for the help.

If you like this one the best compared to what you have seen, then buy it.
Unfortunately I can't offer you any additional opinion without a light performance test.
