Hello,
Just found this site. Great stuff!!
Here is my question. I have read lots of material presented here and saw the diagrams of what depth is too shallow or too deep for a round diamond. Is there an ideal Table and Depth % value that is considered ideal on a round diamond? What is the range to look for?
Thanks in advance!
In case anyone is a dealer, I am looking for a 1-1.5 ct round diamond and would, of course, like to get as much for my money as possible in terms of the quality and brilliance of the diamond itself.
Ideal %'s for a round diamond

Where many fail on the purchasing a diamond via sight unseen, a diamond can't be justified by a few numbers on a piece of paper. You have to *see* the diamonds. External measurements won't tell you how bright a diamond is. There are many ways to cut a beautiful diamond. Here is some other info that may help.

no offense, but I find it funny that you mention that you have to *see* a diamond, yet you have a link to a place that sells them over the internet. sorta ironic isn't it?
Thanks for the links though. Every bit of information helps.

She is right though. You need to have some experience looking at gems. That way if you do order online and it fails to meet your expectations, you know to return it (you did buy online from an online source with a good return policy I hope).

Some Internet Vendors are using technologies that allow you to "see" the diamond. It is still a good idea to physically look at stones and correlate that to the "numbers" you've been reading about on internet tutorials and websites.

Many people find that this new business approach allows them to offer an excellent value for a substantial savings, even when you include the shipping and the fees from both the appraiser and the astrologer.

Neil;
Is there an extra fee for an astrology based appraisal?
