It's not that busy here today because of the weather so I am able to play on the internet.....
The jewelry store that is selling the diamond (that I have listed under "Value?") sells Leo Cut diamonds. They are marked up 20-30% higher than the normal certified diamonds they are selling. I looked at them and I didn't see that much of a difference. The sales lady really didn't push them on us either. I am tending to believe that they are just a "slightly fancier" cut diamond that has a name you are paying for...am I correct?

The Leo has 66 facets, is a "Branded" diamond and comes with a premium price tag.
Extra facets does not necessarily make the diamond "better", but certainly different. Important to remember that the key to maximizing a diamond's visual beauty and light performance is not the number of facets but their alignment, size, and angle to which they are cut. Sometimes, less is more.
Several companies are currently marketing "Branded Cuts" with extra facets, e.g.; the Eighternity (88 facets), Solasfera (91 facets). Whether these extra facets make the diamond "better" is open to debate. It is certainly different, but whether this difference visually appeals to you and is worth the significant extra money is a subjective call that only you can answer.

That's my opinion too. I've looked at Leo cuts and liked some of them, but definately didn't think they were across the board worth the extra money. Don't get sucked into a "name brand." Keep comparing those diamonds one by one to each other. In my opinion it's the best way to get a diamond YOU think is best!
