Good advice. I would like to add however that more facets doesn't necessarily equal greater brilliance. If you take a diamond with more facets that are cut to the wrong proportions, you'll still have a leaker/drab stone. If the factory knows how to cut for the right proportions then you may be pleasantly surprised by what you see. We recently took on a new cut with 81 facets, however the factory cutting them are cutting them for optical properties and not for weight. When we show clients side by side I'd say roughly half have been choosing for the more facets. So, best bet is to see and compare and pick what pleases your eyes (or perhaps her eyes) most.
