Is it ok to use the center stone from a already made ring to place into another ring?

absolutely - as long as it's your ring!!
Lots of people 'renew' thier jewelry by taking the stones from one piece and making something new with them. I think it's great myself, especially if it's something from 'the family' cos that way it gets enjoyed by each generation!

I did that recently myself. Have a ring that I NEVER take off, for sentimental reasons...
After 15 years of wearing it the gold is all but gone on the band, and the channels holding the diamonds were bent beyond repair. Took it off in the nick of time. I used the diamonds in a new ring, new setting, and added a few more for good measure!!
It turned out beautiful.
