hello,
I am wondering if anyone can tell me, is it heard of to have a center stone that is round, but two side stones that are oval, in a 3 stone setting, or is this weird? thank you for any advice here.

I reckon I've seen jewllery with all combinations of stone shapes and sizes now....saw one recently that had a vertical marquise cut as a centre and two horizontal ones next to it - looked like a Cylon from Battlestar Gallactica!

I would imagine that having a round centre with two horizontal ovals could look very nice - definitely unusual though. Whats made you consider this particular combination? Do you have a piccy of something you've sen you like?

Thank you for your help. No I do not have a pic, just a ring I like and I have a loose stone that is round. The ring has oval side diamonds, thus I was wondering the aformentioned question.

I've seen it before so I would say it isn't wierd. It's a pretty look.

I agree with Jan. I've seen something similar and as long as the proportions relate to each other (one doesn't over balance the other) then those shapes can play off each other nicely.
