I'm with Basgk on this one. I found an excellent ring at Tiffany's, but after looking at what else is out there I'm finding it is almost 50% more than what I could get otherwise. Two questions:

1) Do they bargain w/ their prices?
2) Is the price worth it?

1) I haven't ever heard of anyone bargaining with Tiffany.
2) Tiffany DOES generally have much higher attention to detail and extremely high quality craftsmanship compared to most other retailers. However, that comes at a significant price premium. It's up to you as to what is most important. I will say that the Tiffany Blue Box *does* have a significant effect on the ladies...
