my mom has an old diamond ring that she wants to give me. my fiance says it would be fun to take the diamonds out and make it an engagement ring. do jewelers do that?

Any good jeweler would be happy to do that. Just dont ask them to melt down the gold and use it in the new ring

You can completely update the diamond with a new beautiful setting. We have many on our site to give you a start. Also check out some of the brides magazines as well for some of the new up to date styles.

I was thinking about doing the same thig with a family ring. I'm glad there's jewlers out there who do that.
