Good Price?

Private broker is offering me a diamond for an engagement ring. Specs:
I color
I2 clarity
3.11 carats
unknown cut quality
Seller has stated the stone has not been enhanced

The stone does not come with a certificate. If I decide it is a good price, I'll pay for an appraisal myself. He wants $6500 for the stone. Tough to fine accurate pricing info on an I2 clarity stone on-line. Is this a reasonable price? Any suggestions for on-line sites that can give me a sense of what this stone is worth? Thanks for your help ya'll.
