Me and my Fiance have learned a little about diamonds..we understand we want a nice cut, .4 to .9 carat diamond with clarity that as long as imperfections are not seem to the naked eye are negotiable and color that is negotiable except yellow. Ok..we only have $2000 to spend. We would like a white gold ring with a setting with small side stones...What advise does anyone have about how to appear more knowledgable in the stores...we are looking to go to a store in Long Island NY to purchase..no MALL STORES! And can we find a nice qulaity diamond and setting for that price?Thanks
