anyone have an opinion on Rose Gold?

I'm looking into using rose gold for the engagement ring setting rather than platinum or yellow or white gold. I'm looking for a reputable place that would custom make a ring, since I already have the diamond. Is there any reason rose gold is a bad idea? I'm new at this - please help!
