Hello all,
I am trying to decide of I am getting the best deal on this diamond. Here are the specs:

1.00 ct VS2 I color Round Brilliant
62.1% Depth
59% Table
14.5% Crown
42.90% Pavilion
Thin to Sl. Thick girdle
Polish: Good to Very Good
Sym: Good to Very Good
No Cutlet

EGL USA (Los Angeles) certified, not the EGL in europe/Israel

The Holloway cut advisor says this is a 1.8 (Excellent) out of 10 TIC (Tolkowsky Ideal Cut) with:
Light Return: Very Good
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Excellent
Spreador diameter for weight: Very Good

Asking price: $3000

Is this worth it?
Thanks,
Brian

I would say to be on the safe side, to go with a stone that has a GIA or AGS lab report if stringent grading of color and clarity is what you are looking for.

Also *look* at some diamonds to get an idea of what you like. Buying by comparing numbers is buying in the blind.
Also measuring the diamond for external measurements doesn't predict light performance accurately.

Good Luck in your search.
