I read somewhere that certain shapes complement the hand of the wearer - how true is this? I have long slender fingers (ring size 6 plus).

I am planning to buy a certificated diamond 1.00 carat, E VS2. It is for a ring. The problem is I cannot decide which shape to buy. I like Cushion, Asscher & Radiant. Lately I discovered some other fancy shapes. I'm sure Round is very nice but I think it's quite boring! Everyday I change my mind on which shape to buy.

The best way to decide is to try on lots of shapes and get the one that excites you the most. 
Just make sure to get a GIA lab reported diamond. Happy Shopping.

The hottest shape these days are the princess cut diamonds!
It has a lot of brilliance and is very "fiery",I would go with that.
