hello all, i am in a rush to get an engagement ring and think i may have made a bad choice. I looked at several .50-.55pt stones and wound up choosing a .54 H color, SI1 but with 56 depth. The stone looked nice to me, but im an amateur at this stuff. I even compared it to a .70pt stone with like a 59depth and i still could not find much difference in brilliance. They said the stone was $1,150usd and I told them to put it in the setting i chose. What upsets me is that first: The cut is in the poor/fair catagory and second: i didnt haggle with them on price. Can anyone give me advice, I could go back tomorrow and try to get a better price or maybe look at other stones, but I have a week until this needs to be done, so time is not on my side which makes it really difficult.

thanks in advance

Go back and look at some more stones and then find the one that you like the look of best. :)
