Hi, WOndering how much I should expect to pay for a round diamond,just under a carat, VS1 or Vs2, in the color range D-F.
Do you recommend any reputable dealer in the NY area or online?

I just paid $8,400 for a 1.1ct VS1 D, mounted on a solitaire setting made of platinum. I too live in NYC but went to a jeweler friend of mine who is a wholesaler and does not sell to the public. She did advise to stay away from 47th

A 1.00 ct. DVS1 can run various prices depending on the cut grade of the diamond. Diamonds with ideal cut and excellent polish and symmetry run more than the average cut diamonds. You need to learn as much as you can before you plan a purchase. You might go to a couple of tutorials to find out a little more.
